BitDefender Antivirus 2010 has received top-level certification from AV-comparatives for its ability to detect malware on the infected PC while providing a low false positive rate.

AV-comparatives tested sixteen antivirus products for performance. The products are classified into four levels of rating system ranging from Tested Standard, Advanced and Advanced +. The result was published in November 2009.
